Rachel Mitchell has already shown us she’s on the wrong side of history

In 2018, Rachel Mitchell, handpicked by Republicans as a "veteran sex crimes prosecutor", helped confirm Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court by discrediting the testimony of a sexual assault survivor. Rachel Mitchell was also part of the corrupt leadership team handling the 2020 protests cases, where the Maricopa County Attorney's Office colluded with Phoenix Police to politically target and prosecute people who marched for Black Lives as gang members. In the past four months since her appointment as County Attorney, Rachel Mitchell has continuously held our communities and police to different standards of the law. Every action she has taken has been for political gain.

Instead, Mitchell promises to continue the same corrupt and violent practices as her predecessors. With a decade-long career in the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, Rachel Mitchell is the establishment candidate in this race -- one who will never change the culture or operation of an office that continues to face scandals and multi-million dollar lawsuits. Her corrupt leadership will cost us even more tax-payer money that could have been reinvested into our communities.

Mitchell claims she will protect women, children, and families, yet the rate of violence and harm to our communities in the last decade under a Republican-led Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has risen. And instead of addressing the root cause of this surge in "crime", Rachel Mitchell has vowed to spend her time in office criminalizing women for their healthcare decisions and medical professionals for providing healthcare.
